WORLD CLASS MANUFACTURING (WCM) PLATFORM AND TPM APPLICATIONS

WCM_platform

WCM (World Class Manufacturing) is a different set of concepts, principles, policies and techniques for managing and operating a manufacturing company. It is driven by the results achieved by the Japanese manufacturing resurgence following World War II, and adapts many of the ideas used by the Japanese in automotive, electronics and steel companies to gain a competitive edge .

Litum WCM system is a unique software that combines 12 modules under an integrated platform that is developed with an oblective of incresing a manufacturing company's overall efficiency. It primarily focuses on continual improvement in quality, cost, lead time, flexibility and customer service. Litum WCM Platform  involves unmatched features of manufacturing data collection and analysis, total preventative maintenance, internal communication, suggestion collection- follow up, action management, etc.

Based on pillar management principles, Litum's World Class Manufacturing management platforminvolves tools for cost, waste, quality, autonomous maintenance, safety, environment, health, human resources, and suggestion system management.

Started with Tetra Pak, Litum WCM Platform is internationally used by  Schneider Electric and Indesit Company.

Modules of Litum WCM Platform are:
  • Tag Follow-up: is an autonomous maintenance module to collect all improvement ideas, machine problems, etc. from employees and manage their implementation processes including approval and assginment.
  • Analysis: is a module to organize activities of root cause/ preventative action with the help of methodologies such as fish bone diagrams or 4M analysis.
  • Meeting Management: is a module which organizes activities to create meetings for any purpose and for any type (daily meetings, steering meetings, team meetings, etc), invite unlimited number of attendees to a meeting, assign an owner, reporter and a meeting room for each meeting, define and publish agenda for each meeting, save the meeting notes and create an action for each note, bind the actions with the meeting and see a summary for all the actions created by this meeting.
  • Training Management: Based on an employee skill matrix, classifies, organizes and reports all training activities required to achieve the objectives.
  • Shift Reporting: is a module to facilitate effective communication between employees from different shifts. After each shift, any kind of production issues, long machine stops, accidents, etc. can be entered and logged in the system. These logs support text based search.
  • Overtime and Leave Management Manages and processes overtime and leave requests
  • Team Management is amodule to create teams for pillars with different types and different methodologies. It has ability to add unlimited employees to a team, select the team leader, assistant leader, team mentor, define the objective of a team in detail,  track the audit forms and control lists of a team. Files (image, video, documents, spreadsheets, etc) can be added to team's records.
  • Action Management: is the heart of the WCM Platform. From each module, it gathers information and follows up the assignments of each employee.
  • Awarding: It collects data from all the modules above. For each employee, it calculates an award point depending on their performance in team activities, closing actions on time, suggestions (tags) that create a difference, etc.
Although it is an integrated platform, all modules of WCM system can be used as seperate software.
